The Colby Fire Department provides fire, rescue & hazardous material response for the City of Colby and the surrounding Rural Fire District #3. This is a response area of 535 square miles. Our Department is a combination of dedicated full-time firefighters who take care of the daily operations and volunteer members who are the strength and heart of the Department. We have an ISO rating of 4 in the City of Colby and 9 in the county. Established in 1923, the year 2016 marked the 93rd anniversary of the Colby Fire Department.
